Workday HCM: Learning Consultant

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable Workday HCM solutions that reflect enterprise standards and enable long-term expansion of human capital management capabilities across the organization
• Produce comprehensive solution designs for the Workday HCM Learning module, ensuring precise data flows, streamlined business execution, and consistent configuration practices
• Lead end-to-end Workday HCM implementations and enhancements by partnering with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high-quality results
• Enhance existing Workday HCM configurations through analysis of usage patterns and recommendations for changes that improve usability, performance, and data quality
• Develop detailed technical design documentation and configuration standards for Workday HCM to provide clear guidance for implementation and support teams
• Assess integration requirements and design Workday interfaces with internal systems to support dependable data exchange for workforce online operations and finance and accounting processes
• Advise on Workday security configuration to support compliance, safeguard sensitive employee information, and provide appropriate access for global user groups
• Review new Workday features and releases, and propose adoption plans that strengthen business capabilities while reducing disruption to ongoing operations
• Work with stakeholders to convert complex workforce online, finance, and accounting requirements into Workday technical solutions that deliver measurable business value
• Back testing efforts by defining technical test scenarios, reviewing outcomes, and driving defect resolution related to Workday HCM architecture and integrations
• Mentor implementation and support teams in Workday HCM best practices to ensure consistent solution quality and sustainable application health
• Coordinate incident investigation for Workday HCM problems by determining root causes, defining corrective actions, and preventing repeat issues to improve system stability
• Establish and maintain technical standards and architectural patterns for Workday HCM to promote reuse of validated design approaches across multiple initiatives

Qualifications

• Show extensive hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration and solution design for a minimum of eight years in complex enterprise environments
• Apply strong understanding of Workday HCM business processes, including workforce administration, absence management, performance, and compensation, to build effective solutions
• Leverage experience with online transactional environments to design Workday architectures that enable digital employee interactions and self-service functionality
• Use knowledge of finance and accounting domains to align Workday HCM data structures with downstream financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Demonstrate capability in requirements analysis and documentation to capture business needs and translate them into clear Workday HCM technical specifications
• Exhibit strong data mapping and interface design skills to support integrations between Workday HCM and internal applications while maintaining data accuracy and consistency
• Use advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex Workday issues and recommend practical architectural enhancements
• Apply proven communication and collaboration abilities in a hybrid work model to coordinate with stakeholders during design workshops, reviews, and solution walkthroughs
• Bring experience using structured Workday implementation methodologies, including testing, deployment, and post go-live stabilization activities
• Stay informed about the Workday HCM roadmap and human capital technology industry trends to propose innovations supporting organizational and societal impact
