Warehouse Assistant

Position Overview:

Become a key member of our vibrant team as a Warehouse Assistant, where your contributions will be essential to optimizing warehouse operations through proficient inventory management and equipment utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize a forklift to unload pallets from incoming shipments.
• Perform inbound verification through visual inspections or scanning techniques.
• Implement break-bulk procedures for mixed SKU pallets or cartons.
• Execute put-away operations to designated racking or shelving, which requires the use of a reach truck.
• Retrieve items from selective racking or shelving, necessitating the operation of a reach truck.
• Conduct outbound verification through visual inspections or scanning techniques.
• Pack multiple products into cartons for distribution.
• Carry out stock counts and identify any discrepancies as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in accordance with directives from the supervisor.
• Perform daily pre-checks on relevant material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks.
• Immediately report any irregularities to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a forklift operator.
• At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse assistant role.
• Proficient in operating both forklifts and reach trucks.
• Skilled in scanning operations across various systems.
• Capable of responding quickly and reporting any irregularities.
• High level of accuracy in counting and verification tasks.
• Dedicated to completing assignments within established timeframes.
• Strict adherence to established operational procedures is crucial.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives is a beneficial addition.
