Technical Architect – Adobe Commerce / Full Stack

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect – Adobe Commerce / Full Stack Development with extensive expertise in Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, PHP, MySQL, and cutting-edge frontend technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable eCommerce solutions, overseeing technical implementation, leading engineering teams, and collaborating effectively with clients and business stakeholders. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with composable commerce platforms such as Commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), and Shopify. Familiarity with search and CMS platforms like Constructor.io, Bloomreach, Contentstack, and Contentful is essential. Additionally, strong knowledge of cloud services, event-driven architecture, and enterprise system integrations is required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Translate client needs and business goals into robust, scalable technical architectures.
• Design, develop, and oversee Adobe Commerce/Magento 2 solutions and enterprise integrations.
• Lead end-to-end full-stack development utilizing PHP, MySQL, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Create and review custom Magento modules, REST APIs, GraphQL extensions, batch jobs, and asynchronous processing workflows.
• Enhance Magento performance through optimization of indexing, caching, database queries, and backend services.
• Develop integrations with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, search engines, and other enterprise systems.
• Manage complex eCommerce implementations supporting multiple websites, stores, languages, and currencies.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, including task assignment, code reviews, and project planning.
• Perform architecture reviews, participate in design discussions, and conduct technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
• Address complex technical issues and provide ongoing production support.
• Promote Agile/Scrum methodologies, implement CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and foster continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• Over 12 years of comprehensive software development experience.
• At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce/Magento 2, with a preference for Adobe Commerce Cloud.
• In-depth understanding of Magento 2 architecture, customization, and development standards.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and TypeScript.
• Full-stack development expertise, particularly with React and Next.js.
• Strong experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL, and developing custom Magento modules.
• Expertise in Magento indexing, caching strategies, performance tuning, cron jobs, batch processing, and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Proven track record of integrating third-party enterprise platforms, including ERP, CRM, payment systems, and search solutions.
• Exposure to composable commerce platforms like Commercetools, SFCC, or Shopify.
• Familiarity with search and CMS platforms such as Constructor.io, Bloomreach, Contentstack, or Contentful.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience with event-driven system design.
• Solid experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and automated testing frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership in technical teams, with experience in mentoring and project delivery management.
• Exceptional communication skills for client interactions, stakeholder engagement, and solution design.

Preferred Qualifications

• Adobe Commerce certification at Professional or Expert level.
• Experience designing and implementing headless commerce architectures.
• Hands-on expertise with Next.js and React frameworks.
• Experience integrating search platforms like Constructor.io or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-native services, microservices architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of application security, infrastructure security, and secure development practices.
