Senior CloudOps Engineer _ Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior CloudOps Engineer with strong, hands-on Azure experience to

deliver cloud operations leadership across platform reliability, security governance, and cost

optimization. This role includes operational ownership, enforcing governance standards,

managing production environments, and ensuring secure, dependable, and cost-efficient

cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Azure platform reliability, availability, and overall operational readiness.

• Lead incident management activities, including root cause analysis and remediation efforts.

• Implement Azure governance using Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM, naming conventions, and

tagging standards.

• Advance FinOps initiatives, including resource rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, and cost

optimization.

• Manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring effective scaling, efficient resource use, and

adherence to operational boundaries.

• Maintain and improve operational runbooks, SOPs, and change management processes.

• Administer Azure subscriptions, management groups, networking, identity, and access controls.

• Detect and remediate governance gaps, excessive permissions, and configuration drift.

Must-Have Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience with production operations ownership.

• Proven expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, subscriptions, and management groups.

• Experience implementing Azure governance, including Azure Policy, RBAC, and identity/access management.

• Practical working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).

• Experience managing incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and performing operational remediation.

• Knowledge of Azure cost optimization and FinOps practices.

• Ability to enforce security, governance, and operational standards.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Experience creating CloudOps processes and governance frameworks.

• Exposure to Azure cost management, reservations, and savings plans.

• Experience with ITIL-based IT service management.

Mandatory Certifications (At least 2–3 certifications required):

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).

o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-140).

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).

o Preferred: ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
