We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our Fintech team. The chosen candidate will be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated financial software systems utilizing Java. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and dependable software solutions that fulfill business needs while complying with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions using Java, NodeJS, GoLang, and other relevant technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executives, product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to deliver software solutions that align with business objectives
• Ensure software systems are reliable, efficient, and maintainable by employing effective testing, monitoring, and maintenance practices
• Continuously enhance software development processes, tools, and technologies to improve team productivity, quality, and speed of delivery
• Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers to promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and ongoing learning
• Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies within the fintech sector and identify opportunities to incorporate them into software development efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, particularly in OOP
• Extensive experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and/or Struts
• Thorough understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and database design principles
• Experience with RESTful web services and API design practices
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration and delivery
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a team setting

Bonus:

• Experience within the fintech or financial services sector
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Proficiency in additional programming languages like Python, Scala, or Kotlin
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies
