Procurement Expert (WY)

Primary Duties:

• Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with the organization’s retail and merchandise goals.
• Identify, negotiate, and cultivate vendor partnerships to ensure cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely procurement of goods.
• Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to sustain optimal stock availability.
• Administer comprehensive supply chain operations, encompassing order processing, logistics management, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
• Organize all freight forwarding logistics for both import and export operations.
• Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to manage expenses and enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with merchandising and sales departments to forecast product demand and synchronize purchasing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal standards, and ethical procurement protocols.
• Continuously evaluate and refine procurement processes to boost efficiency and value delivery.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in procurement, ideally within the retail, merchandise, or FMCG industries.
• In-depth understanding of inventory management, supply chain dynamics, and procurement best practices.
• Hands-on experience in freight forwarding, customs procedures, and international logistics.
• Exceptional negotiation, vendor management, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software (such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable systems).
• Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
