Senior system engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement performance testing scripts utilizing JMeter and/or LoadRunner
• Conduct Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, Soak, Capacity, and Scalability testing
• Identify application performance bottlenecks and suggest optimization strategies
• Oversee system performance through APM tools and infrastructure monitoring solutions
• Work collaboratively with development, DevOps, DBA, and infrastructure teams to address performance challenges
• Establish performance testing strategies, scenarios, and workload models
• Prepare testing data and set up test environments
• Evaluate server, application, database, and network performance metrics
• Create comprehensive performance test reports and share insights with stakeholders
• Incorporate performance testing methodologies into CI/CD pipelines when relevant
• Required Skills
• Extensive experience in Performance Testing
• Proficient in Apache JMeter and/or Micro Focus LoadRunner
• Skilled in developing and maintaining performance testing scripts
• Deep understanding of Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Volume Testing
• Experience in analyzing response times, throughput, CPU, memory, disk usage, and network metrics
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, and Web Services
• Strong SQL proficiency for database performance assessment
• Experience using Linux/Unix commands and analyzing server logs
• Knowledge of application architecture, microservices, and distributed systems
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
