Senior Oracle DBA

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Database Administration specifically for MidRange/Wintel Databases is required. Familiarity with Mainframe Databases will be considered a plus.

A Bachelor's Degree in any field is necessary, alongside a minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience.

Alternatively, candidates holding a Diploma in IT must possess at least 7 years of relevant IT experience.

Possession of a Professional DBMS certification is an advantage.

Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration, including installation, upgrades, and patches is essential.

Experience in database performance tuning is required.

Proficiency in backup and recovery processes is necessary.

Skills in automation of monitoring and alert generation are needed.

Experience with Disaster Recovery practices is crucial.

Knowledge of cluster setups like Oracle RAC, HACMP, Veritas Cluster, and Windows cluster is important.

Familiarity with database replication methods, including Dataguard, Goldengate, and Disk Replication, is expected.

Experience in DBMS installation and upgrades is required.

Ability to enforce standards is essential.

Skills in capacity management and planning are necessary.
