Senior Functional Solution Analyst

Minimum 6–10 years of experience in banking operations or system development

Ensure functional requirement specifications cover both system processes and manual processes to mitigate the project’s risk factor.

Identify, highlight, and share the impact and key risks to the business.

Scope requirements according to business needs and confirm they can achieve the end target state.

Deliver high-quality Functional Requirement Specifications to the Technical team within the agreed timelines.

Ensure changes or requirements are clearly communicated to stakeholders.

Finalize business requirements for FSD preparation.

The Senior Functional Solution Analyst (FSA) clarifies and translates business requirements into IT system functional requirements, including system interaction and end-to-end flows.

Work collaboratively with business users and technical delivery teams to develop scalable and flexible IT solutions, including studying both business and system impact, creating user stories, functional design, test strategy, support delivery through go-live, and post-live support.

Understand the business context of the business requirement, assess for any gaps, and work with the business to update the business requirement document. The business requirement document must include business needs, compliance needs, data governance, and security needs.

Familiar with existing IT system functionalities and functional flows.

Based on the understood business requirements, conceptualize and translate them into a list of system features required.

Based on the translated system feature list, analyze the impact on existing IT systems, determine the required changes to existing IT systems and/or identify new systems that must be built, as well as the necessary functional interactions/integration between the IT systems.

Develop functional solution design specifications that the IT Technical team can use to create the corresponding technical solution design specification. The functional solution design specification must include features and flows that meet the bank’s compliance, security, data governance policy, and standards established by the bank.

Participate in project meetings to provide clarity and guidance to the technical delivery team on the functional solution design specification. Update the functional solution design specification as and when necessary.

Develop test cases and test scripts to test and confirm the delivered IT systems work as specified by the functional solution design specification.

Analyze, assess impact, prioritize, and update functional solution design documents for any additional change requests raised by the business.

Assist in production deployment planning (e.g., IT and business approval, readiness check, live test).

When needed, provide post go-live functional support until stabilization.
