Senior Code Designer (Data Quality)

Note: This position is available exclusively for Singapore Citizens.

Job Summary: We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Code Designer and Full Stack Java Developer to join our expanding Capital Markets IT team. You will play a key role in the creation and enhancement of a platform dedicated to monitoring data quality, which manages trade message flows via middleware technologies and message queues. The perfect candidate will possess robust backend and full stack development expertise, particularly in cloud technologies, DevOps methodologies, and performance-oriented coding practices.

Primary Duties:

• Devise scalable technical solutions that adhere to established architectural standards
• Create and update technical documentation, including API specifications and sequence diagrams
• Develop high-caliber, maintainable code utilizing Java, Spring Framework, AngularJS, and ReactJS
• Oversee message-driven processing with Kafka and facilitate integration with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Oracle
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies
• Perform non-functional testing, including load, performance, and scalability evaluations
• Assist in system testing, UAT, and production deployments
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate repetitive processes
• Advocate for secure coding practices and engage in continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a robust background in backend and full stack development
• Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, ReactJS, AngularJS, and scripting in Unix/Linux
• Familiarity with Kafka for message processing and practical experience in both NoSQL (MongoDB) and relational databases
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and pipelines such as GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Jira
• Experience in cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Strong comprehension of system design, integration patterns, and API development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of capital markets and financial instruments
• Familiarity with market risk or front office trading systems
• Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools and application monitoring solutions
