Reference Data Management Specialist

We are looking for a Reference Data Management Specialist to become part of a leading Global Bank. This position focuses on managing reference data for the APAC region, encompassing account-level data and standing settlement instructions necessary for trade processing and settlement. The role is pivotal in implementing both technical and non-technical enhancements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee reference data requirements for the APAC Global Markets, ensuring precision and efficiency.

• Lead automation projects and process enhancements throughout operations.
• Supervise offshore teams that manage daily reference data inquiries while upholding essential controls.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create and execute new processes and address escalations.
• Implement strategies for technology-driven improvements and standardize change management practices.
• Maintain a record of automation funding requests and oversee the delivery of ongoing modifications.
• Leverage data and metrics to uncover opportunities for improving and automating reporting functions.
• Continuously refine workflows, reporting methods, and overall operational performance.
• Provide clear communication of updates and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout project phases.

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrated program/project management abilities: resource planning, risk/issue management, testing, training, and implementation.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Comprehension of market products.
• Proficient in managing and querying data (SQL, Excel) and experienced in management reporting (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
• Awareness of risk management and a commitment to excellence, demonstrating high integrity and sound judgment.
