Associate Lecturer - CM3065 Intelligent Signal Processing
Job Description
This module is designed to immerse you in a comprehensive experience of digital signal processing methodologies and their practical applications. You will explore how audio and video signals can be captured and manipulated through computer programming. The course will cover both time domain and frequency domain representations and processing techniques. You will also learn how to extract valuable information from audio signals. Furthermore, you will implement systems for movement and face detection that operate with real-time camera input. Intelligent signal processing encompasses the capturing, storing, playback, processing, and crucially, the extraction of meaningful information from various real-world signals using computer systems. You engage with intelligent signal processing technologies daily, such as voice-activated digital assistants. This module extends your knowledge from other areas within the computer science curriculum, including computer graphics, data representation, and artificial intelligence. It equips you with an advanced skill set necessary for developing computer programs that handle a diverse array of digital signals.
