SAP MGD Consultant

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled SAP MDG Consultant to architect, configure, and implement Master Data Governance solutions utilizing SAP S/4HANA. The consultant will manage the comprehensive MDG solution across various master data domains, collaborating with client stakeholders to create efficient governance processes, data models, and workflows.

Primary Duties

• Oversee the complete SAP MDG lifecycle during the Design, Build, Test, and Deploy stages.
• Collect business requirements and convert them into robust SAP MDG solutions.
• Set up and execute SAP MDG Central Governance on S/4HANA.
• Engage with relevant master data domains, including:
• Material – MDG-M
• Business Partner – MDG-BP
• Customer / Supplier – MDG-C/S
• Finance – MDG-F
• Conduct MDG data modeling using both standard and custom data models.
• Establish Change Request (CR) types, workflows, and approval processes.
• Create and configure MDG process models tailored to business needs.
• Facilitate client workshops, requirements gathering, and solution design discussions.
• Assist in testing, defect management, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Operate independently while coordinating with stakeholders from both business and technical teams.
• Guarantee that master data governance processes yield consistent, accurate, and high-quality enterprise master data.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in SAP MDG.
• A minimum of 2 complete SAP MDG implementation projects.
• Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and implementing SAP MDG on S/4HANA.
• Deep understanding of:
• SAP MDG Data Modelling
• Change Request Configuration
• Process Modelling
• Workflow Configuration
• MDG Central Governance
• Familiarity with one or more MDG domains such as Material, Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, or Finance.
• Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Capable of independently leading client-facing workshops and design discussions.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Experience managing multiple MDG domains.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise master data governance and data quality processes.
• SAP MDG certification is a plus.
