SAP Business Analyst (Data & Reporting)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst focused on data analytics and reporting to enhance Finance and Procurement operations. In this role, you will convert business reporting needs into clear, executable data specifications, partner with Data Engineers and BI teams, and help maintain the correctness of SAP-enabled reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to collect and document business requirements.
• Gain a strong understanding of SAP Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Centres) and Procurement (PR, PO, GR, Invoice Verification) processes.
• Determine SAP tables, fields, data elements, and relationships that support business reporting and analytics.
• Develop BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Architects to support data pipelines, transformations, and data models.
• Define business rules, KPIs, metrics, and data quality requirements.
• Conduct data analysis, perform source-to-target validation, and carry out financial/procurement data reconciliation using SQL.
• Assist with functional testing, UAT, defect triage/resolution, and business sign-off activities.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with stated business requirements.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst on SAP or Data & Analytics projects.
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI/CO and MM modules.
• Practical understanding of Finance, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Working knowledge of SAP data structures, tables, and relationships.
• Hands-on experience using SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, data dictionaries, and business rule documentation.
• Capable of partnering effectively with Data Engineering, BI, and business teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, SAP HANA, or SAP BW.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with Agile methodology, Jira, and Confluence.
