Primary Responsibilities
Create performance test scripts and load profiles for benchmark, stress, endurance, and volume testing.
Conduct performance testing to establish baselines, pinpoint bottlenecks, and validate performance and scalability objectives.
Work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to analyze results, enhance system performance, and confirm improvements.
Provision, configure, and oversee performance testing environments throughout each testing cycle.
Develop and sustain automated test frameworks, UI tests, and API tests starting from the initial sprint.
Perform system, integration, and regression testing in accordance with the Test Lead's standards.
Evaluate test artifacts against user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure sufficient coverage.
Utilize AI tools to create test scenarios and scripts, ensuring outputs are validated before implementation.
Maintain test cases, execution records, and defects within JIRA.
Communicate performance results, bottlenecks, risks, and assessments of release readiness to stakeholders.
Collaborate with product, engineering, infrastructure, security, and testing teams, providing cross-coverage for performance testing and automation.
Essential Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of Software QA experience, including practical experience in performance engineering for enterprise web applications.
Practical experience in test automation, inclusive of building frameworks from the ground up.
Extensive experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar performance testing tools.
Hands-on UI automation experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar, coupled with API test automation.
Experience in application profiling and bottleneck analysis across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
Advanced SQL skills for data validation, backend verification, and performance investigations.
Proficiency in JIRA for managing tests, tracking execution, and handling defects.
A solid understanding of system, integration, regression, and performance testing within an Agile delivery framework.
Capability to analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and validate performance enhancements through subsequent testing cycles.
Experience in managing test environments and coordinating testing activities within release schedules.
Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and the capability to validate the outputs produced.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with hands-on expertise in performance engineering and automation.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud monitoring and observability tools.
Familiarity with the Singapore Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) or other cloud platforms used by the Singapore Government.
Exposure to enforcement, regulatory, licensing, or case management systems.
