Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct root cause analysis for application defects and propose effective remediation solutions.
• Assess and prioritize defects to plan for production releases based on their criticality.
• Engage in code development and facilitate end-to-end testing during SIT, UAT, and oversee deployment to production environments within the green-zone.
• Continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance system resilience and performance to accommodate scaling volumes.
• Ensure production stability by confirming that all deployments have undergone necessary risk and impact assessments.
• Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to stakeholders regarding application-related issues or inquiries.
• Support production level 2 in investigating incidents, performing root cause analyses, and evaluating recovery approaches as needed, including after-hours or weekend support when necessary.
• Adhere to established SDM guidelines, processes, and IT policies.
• Share insights gained from production defect support with internal teams to enhance quality and reduce future application delivery defects.
• Ensure that application documentation is thoroughly updated for each production release.

Essential Domain/Technical Skills:

• Proficient in the AS400 platform & RPG/LE, CL/LE, COBOL400, SQL, and Query400.
• Experienced in utilizing ALDON and IBM RDi for change management.
• Familiar with BMC Control-M, Splunk, and BMC Helix.
