Senior Business Analyst (Payments)

Business Analysis

• Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to gather functional requirements, perform analyses, and document findings (including URD, RTM, Test Scenarios, etc.)
• Assess, validate, prioritize, and strategize enhancements and requirements from stakeholders
• Develop innovative and practical solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, standardization, user experience, and the delivery of business initiatives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Heads of Department, Head Office, Regional teams, internal IT departments, Business & Process Owners, and vendors
• Review and approve artifacts and solutions delivered by technical teams and vendors
• Facilitate SIT, UAT, regression testing, and rehearsal testing support
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for users
• Ensure the effective implementation of solutions

2. Project Management Support

• Assist in conducting project feasibility studies
• Establish work breakdown structures and define tasks for Requirements Definition, User Acceptance Testing, and Migration Phases
• Assist in Change Management and monitor for scope creep
• Support Risk & Issue Management efforts
• Contribute to project execution and the delivery of solutions within established budgets and timelines
• Facilitate Stakeholder Management

3. BAU Management

• Deliver prompt support to users during incidents, change requests, inquiries, and Business Continuity Planning exercises

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Applied Science, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within a bank or financial institution
• Familiarity with Payments / Remittance systems, SWIFT ISO20022 CBPR+, SWIFT MT Standards, and Clearing schemes (ACH, RTGS, RT) across the Asia Pacific region
• A solid understanding of Payment Operational workflows, business operating models, as well as operational compliance and risk management
• Knowledge of Cash Management Products, Channels, Core Banking / Accounting, AML Screening, and FX/Treasury
• A proactive team player with a focus on results
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Project Management certification is advantageous
• Practical experience in database querying and scripting
• Familiarity with Java and web-based applications, along with a grasp of robust application design principles
• A good understanding of system interface protocols
• A comprehensive understanding of infrastructure and system resiliency
