PCBA Senior Commodity Manager

Responsibilities

Commodity Strategy (30%)

• Formulate a sourcing strategy that ensures suppliers can fulfill Coherent's present and future technical and business needs
• Evaluate geographic supplier bases to align with customer requirements
• Proactively lead and manage all supplier development initiatives

Supplier Management (30%)

• Oversee supplier performance reviews (SBR)
• Implement supplier risk management strategies to guarantee material COS (continuity of supply)
• Engage in supplier system audits
• Nurture and maintain relationships with suppliers
• Conduct contract reviews

Price and Cost Reduction (30%)

• Take charge of driving material cost reductions through negotiation, VAVE, sourcing, bidding, etc.
• Manage RFQ processes and maintain/approve prices in the Oracle system
• Utilize should cost models and benchmark analyses to ensure pricing competitiveness

Price Maintenance and Order Approval (10%)

• Update and maintain pricing in the Oracle system
• Approve orders

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation with a BS degree or higher paired with business acumen
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in PCBA commodity management or supply chain management
• Expertise in contract manufacturing management, particularly in operations and processes related to SMT and surrounding technologies, including glob top, underfill, flip chip, BGA reworking, testing, press fit, conformal coating, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the fiber optics industry and its cost structure
• Self-motivated individual who sets ambitious goals and drives teams toward successful outcomes
• Proficient in risk management and negotiation skills
• Strong program management capabilities along with data management and analytical skills
• Exceptional English communication and presentation abilities
