Operations Executive (Commodities)

Our client, a leading global commodities trading firm, is seeking an Operations Executive to facilitate the comprehensive execution of physical commodity transactions across various international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee contract execution and coordinate shipment planning
• Collaborate with suppliers, shipping companies, and internal teams to ensure efficient delivery
• Manage shipping documentation, invoicing, and follow up on payments
• Address claims, settlements, and other operational issues
• Closely monitor shipments and proactively tackle any arising challenges

Requirements

• 5-6 years of relevant experience in commodity execution / operations
• Background in sugar, agricultural commodities, or other physical commodities is preferred
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes and trade documentation
• Familiarity with letters of credit (LCs), letters of intent (LOIs), charter parties, and demurrage/laytime will be beneficial
• Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up abilities
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple transactions at once
