Accountant (MNC)

Our client, a leading multinational corporation in the energy and commodities industry, is seeking an Accountant to become a vital part of their Finance team. This position will encompass a variety of accounting, reporting, tax, and FP&A functions, providing support across various entities and markets.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting processes
• Assist with group and management reporting, including variance analysis
• Compile financial statements and assist with statutory audit requirements
• Manage tax and regulatory reporting obligations
• Facilitate daily finance operations and business activities
• Prepare and evaluate financial performance relative to budget and forecasts
• Review CAPEX and OPEX across various business units
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
• Examine cost drivers and offer insights into business performance
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and business partners on finance-related issues
• Assist with ad-hoc finance projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a multinational corporate setting
• Proven expertise in group consolidation and financial reporting is essential
• Prior experience supporting multiple entities or markets is a plus
• Experience with a Big 4 firm would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of IFRS and local accounting/tax regulations
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting/analytics tools
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple deadlines
