Job Description

Position Overview

Our client is a global leader in technology and manufacturing, prominently established in Singapore. The company is celebrated for its engineering prowess and innovative approach, specializing in the development and production of high-tech components and solutions that cater to top consumer electronics brands worldwide. The organization provides exceptional career advancement prospects within a dynamic, collaborative, and technology-focused environment.

Position Description

Oversee a comprehensive finance function that collaborates with business units throughout the complete project lifecycle: from project initiation and design to R&D and mass production. This role demands operating finance as a value-adding partner at the outset while managing a standardized, automated transaction engine in the background.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Partnership Engagement (Sales, Supply Chain, R&D)

  • Direct the Sales BP, Supply Chain BP, and R&D BP teams to enhance cost, margin, and investment management from the inception of projects.
  • Sales: Monitor design costs and project ROI against set targets. Evaluate sales performance and identify gaps and opportunities. Manage sales expenses and ensure corrective measures are taken.
  • Supply Chain: Champion BOM cost target achievement, including cost model adherence, variance analysis, supplier price variance, and ongoing BOM cost forecasting. Assist in procurement risk assessment and supplier validation. Manage inventory, turnover rates, and slow-moving stock.
  • R&D: Track NPI yield performance and facilitate root cause analysis and enhancements. Oversee R&D budgets and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) fee recovery. Provide R&D management dashboards and continuous R&D expense forecasts.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for Production and Corporate Performance

  • Manage the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
  • Produce frequent management dashboards that monitor operational performance, highlight opportunities, and provide advance risk alerts.
  • Oversee management expenses and assess headcount and payroll metrics.
  • Evaluate performance metrics against operational targets in mass production environments.

Shared Services and Finance Operations (SSC)

  • Supervise month-end closing processes, actual cost accounting, and payroll accounting.
  • Advance month-end automation and standardized accounting operations.
  • Lead the implementation and validation of systems (including SAP and master data systems). Establish the foundation for transactional data.

Leadership and Development

  • Build and nurture a multi-tiered finance team across BP, FP&A, and SSC.
  • Provide specialized analytical and control capabilities within the BP teams.
  • Integrate systems and data across CRM, PLM, MES, SAP BW, and attendance systems to enhance decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. CPA, ACCA, CMA, or MBA qualifications are preferred.
  • 12+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing context, ideally within electronics, precision components, or high-tech industries, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business partnering across sales, supply chain, and R&D, along with product costing and BOM cost management.
  • Robust FP&A experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Experience in managing or transforming a shared service center or finance operations.
  • Practical ERP experience (SAP required), with exposure to PLM, MES, and BI tools (SAP BW) considered advantageous.
  • Proven history of finance digitalization and process automation.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and challenge business practices effectively.
