Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards as set forth by pertinent health authorities. Spearhead quality assurance programs aimed at evaluating and improving the quality of nursing care delivered. Perform regular quality audits and initiate corrective measures as needed. Maintain and revise all written policies and procedures to direct nursing practices effectively. Supervise the transition of residents from acute care settings to chronic care, assisting their reintegration into the community when possible. Directly oversee resident care to ensure adherence to established compliance standards. Guarantee appropriate staffing levels and skill diversity across all service shifts. Support staff development and training initiatives, concentrating on contemporary nursing practices and competencies. Lead the orientation and training efforts for newly hired staff members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. A valid practicing certificate issued by the appropriate nursing board. Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Ideally, possess two to three years of experience in a comparable nursing position within a nursing home or geriatric unit.
