M&E Project Manager (Main Contractor)

Our client is a well-established A1 main contractor in Singapore, experienced in delivering large-scale building and infrastructure projects.

They are hiring an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead M&E planning, technical coordination, and project delivery. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to meet project objectives across cost, quality, and programme.

Responsibilities

• Drive M&E planning and coordination for building and infrastructure projects, including technical proposals, budgeting, procurement, and quality requirements.
• Evaluate M&E designs, shop drawings, and technical submissions to confirm compliance, functionality, and buildability.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical matters and coordinate design requirements.
• Assist with tender preparation, contractor sourcing, tender evaluation, and the appointment of consultants and contractors.
• Implement value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives while ensuring quality, safety, and performance are not compromised.
• Manage M&E project execution by tracking progress, budgets, quality, and handling defect rectification.
• Provide technical direction to project teams and coordinate stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.
• Support long-term equipment maintenance and asset replacement planning, where applicable.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in M&E construction planning, technical coordination and project execution.
• Strong understanding of M&E building services, installation practices, construction technologies, and relevant quality and safety standards.
• Demonstrated capability to lead teams and coordinate consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness, with the ability to manage cost, quality and productivity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with large-scale projects, especially those exceeding S$100 million, will be advantageous.

• Working hours: 5 Days
• Salary: up to S$9,200 and Bonus (Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
