We are in search of a Machine Learning Scientist to contribute to the future of our technological innovations and extend the possibilities of machine learning within our field. As a Machine Learning Scientist at MoneyLion, you will play a crucial role in fostering innovation and enhancing operational efficiency throughout the organization. Your responsibilities will include bridging the gap between intricate machine learning technologies and their practical business implementations. You will be instrumental in identifying, crafting, and executing machine learning strategies, turning them into concrete solutions that directly influence our business processes and strategic objectives. Staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning will be essential to ensure that we remain leaders in leveraging these technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research into advanced models, algorithms, and techniques that can be directly applied to address real-world challenges faced by our organization
• Design and test innovative machine learning models and algorithms to tackle complex issues
• Utilize data-driven approaches to convert large datasets into actionable insights and operational machine learning models and tools
• Effectively communicate intricate ideas and translate technical solutions into actionable business strategies
• Monitor and refine existing algorithms to enhance performance and efficiency
• Assess the effectiveness of machine learning models both offline and online using clearly defined metrics
• Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including Data Engineers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and MLOps Engineers, to integrate machine learning technology into our products and services
• Maintain a leading edge on technological advancements in machine learning and AI
• Document methodologies and results, as well as prepare reports and presentations to share insights with stakeholders

Your Profile

• Strong mathematical, statistical, or related quantitative skills
• Proven experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, data analysis, and algorithm development
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and learn efficiently
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with creativity and curiosity
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, and LightGBM
• Advanced expertise in specialized areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, search, and recommendation systems
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Preferably knowledgeable in big data technologies such as AWS, MLFlow, DVC, and Metaflow
• Preferably experienced in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• A commitment to ongoing learning and staying abreast of the latest industry trends
