Loan Officer (12 months contract)

Brief Summary

• Facilitate comprehensive loan operations and documentation processes, guaranteeing that transactions are executed with precision and within established timelines. This role offers the chance to engage with a dynamic operations team involved in various lending and trading activities.

Responsibilities

• Examine facility documentation and internal approvals to confirm the feasibility of processing requested transactions. Execute loan operations tasks, which include drawdowns, rollovers, interest and principal processing, as well as fee management (both bilateral and syndicated). Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address missing documentation, outstanding items, and discrepancies in transactions. Conduct mandatory customer and transaction verifications in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Prepare and dispatch payment instructions for disbursements and associated settlements. Ensure proper organization and secure storage of loan and transaction records. Process trade-related instruments, including guarantees and letters of credit. Generate periodic reports for internal stakeholders and necessary submissions. Work closely with technology teams to facilitate system enhancements, testing, and readiness for rollout. Engage in operational initiatives, process improvements, and perform ad-hoc tasks as directed by team leadership or management.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit documentation and/or loan administration/loan operations. Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to documentation and controls. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficient in using standard productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing software, email/calendar applications).
