Java + Kotlin Developer (Non-Android)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly capable Java + Kotlin Developer to build scalable backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate must have practical, hands-on experience with Kotlin for server-side development and must not be from an Android application development background. Experience with cloud-native development, APIs, and distributed systems is preferred.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Java (8/11/17)
• Hands-on experience in Kotlin (Backend Development)
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA
• Microservices Architecture
• RESTful API Development
• Database experience: SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns
• Git, Maven/Gradle
• Unit Testing using JUnit/Mockito

Preferred Skills

• Cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Kafka/RabbitMQ
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Agile/Scrum methodology

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Create and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Work closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
• Support application performance tuning and troubleshooting activities.
• Deliver secure, high-performing, and fault-tolerant solutions.
