Senior Design Engineer - Aerospace Structures

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer who specializes in aerospace primary and secondary structure design, payload design, and system support design.
• This position involves engaging with innovative aerospace projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and providing high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design aerospace structures and payloads, taking into account tolerance stack-up, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
• Produce manufacturing drawings, detailed assembly instructions, installation plans, and 3D Model-Based Definition (MBD) in accordance with ASME standards.
• Conduct V4 Mylar Sheet to V5 conversions for both 3D and 2D MBD.
• Engage in Relational and Parametric Modeling and interpret engineering drawings in 2D MBD format.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to manage change requests and sustainment projects.
• Leverage PLM tools such as Enovia and CAD automation for design optimization.
• Experience with Boeing projects and CATIA Composite Part Design (CPD) is highly desirable.

Technical Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in aerospace design-related activities.
• Proficient knowledge of CATIA V5 including Part Design, Assembly Design, Sheetmetal, GD, and FTA.
• Deep understanding of GD&T, ASME standards, and the aircraft lifecycle.
• Experience with Enovia PLM and CAD automation tools.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Experience with Airbus or Boeing commercial programs.
• Familiarity with metallic and composite aerospace structures.
• Knowledge of CAD automation and the CATIA CPD workbench.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
