Job Overview:
- We are on the lookout for a skilled Intershop Commerce Developer who possesses extensive knowledge of the Intershop Commerce Platform, including ICO, IOM, Java Microservices, and Angular Progressive Web Applications (PWA).
- The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions, working alongside cross-functional teams to create exceptional digital commerce experiences.
Primary Duties:
- Main Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve eCommerce solutions utilizing the Intershop Commerce Platform (ICO, IOM).
- Create backend services and APIs employing Java Spring Boot and Microservices Architecture.
- Develop responsive and scalable storefronts leveraging Angular-based PWA frameworks.
- Customize Intershop pipelines, business objects, cartridges, and commerce workflows.
- Implement integrations with third-party systems such as ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment gateways, and search platforms.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
- Engage in technical design discussions, solution architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Ensure scalability, performance optimization, and security compliance of applications.
- Resolve production issues and provide L2 and L3 support for essential business applications.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and DevOps throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Technical Qualifications:
- Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Intershop Commerce.
- Hands-on experience with the Intershop Commerce Platform (ICO, IOM).
- Strong grasp of B2B and B2C eCommerce business processes.
- Experience in customizing Intershop storefronts and developing cartridges.
- Knowledge in catalog management, promotions, pricing, orders, and customer management.
- Java Microservices
- Strong expertise in Java versions 8, 11, and 17, along with Spring Boot.
- Experience in creating Microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, API Gateway, and service integrations.
- Strong comprehension of design patterns and enterprise application architecture.
- Angular PWA
- Experience in developing Progressive Web Applications (PWA) utilizing Angular.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, and principles of responsive design.
- Experience with state management and front-end performance optimization.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.
Additional Duties:
- Additional Technical Skills
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with ElasticSearch, Solr, or other enterprise search platforms.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with PIM solutions like Akeneo, Salsify, or Informatica PIM.
- Understanding of headless commerce architecture.
- Exposure to React, Node.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, inventory systems, and OMS platforms.
- Knowledge of eCommerce analytics and conversion optimization.
