Api Test Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate both business and technical specifications for APIs
• Develop and implement manual and automated test cases for API testing
• Assess API request responses, including status codes, headers, and payloads
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for APIs
• Establish and manage test plans, test cases, and reporting documentation
• Utilize API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or Insomnia
• Automate API test suites leveraging frameworks such as Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman Newman
• Ensure data integrity through backend database testing and SQL queries
• Detect, document, and re-evaluate defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Engage with developers, business analysts, and QA teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Take part in Agile Scrum meetings and share testing progress
