Head of Procurement

Our client is a publicly listed company on the SGX, based in Singapore, and is expanding its global presence. Due to a rapidly changing external landscape and shifting business requirements, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative Head of Procurement to join their team.

Role

In this position, you will oversee a team and direct the procurement function (both direct and indirect) across Singapore and other operational markets. Your responsibilities will include developing and continuously refining the overall procurement strategy, ensuring the establishment of a robust regional sourcing network and effective supplier management. You will also be tasked with implementing and adhering to updated group procurement policies that align with current business needs, ultimately focusing on identifying and maximizing cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess extensive procurement experience, with at least 20 years of relevant direct and indirect sourcing expertise, preferably acquired from progressive organizations or firms recognized for their top-tier procurement functions. Experience managing procurement expenditures between S$500 million and S$1 billion is preferred, as it will provide a solid understanding of the role's scale and complexities. You should demonstrate a proven track record of leading teams effectively (both in-person and remotely) and be a strong collaborator capable of thriving in a fast-paced, lean environment.
