HCI Researcher

Job Overview:

Core Responsibilities:

• Engage in applied research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), particularly in relation to autonomous driving and drones.
• This entails gaining insights into user needs, behaviors, and expectations concerning self-driving vehicles, human-autonomy interaction, trust, and acceptance.
• Contribute to the company's intellectual property through the creation of patents and scholarly publications.
• Design and assess user interfaces (UIs) and user experiences (UXs) for in-vehicle systems, external communication interfaces

• pedestrian interactions, and off-board tools associated with autonomous vehicles, including drones.
• This covers infotainment, navigation, driver-vehicle handover, and remote assistance systems.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, product managers, and safety professionals, to incorporate HCI principles and user insights throughout the product development process.
• Prototype and evaluate concepts ranging from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity interactive mockups.

Technical Qualifications:

• Educational Background
• Mandatory
• Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in conducting HCI research, with published work in journals or conference proceedings.
• A robust portfolio showcasing proficiency in user research methodologies, data analysis, and the generation of design recommendations.
• A solid grasp of human factors principles and their application to intricate systems.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.
