Position Title: EUC Engineer
Experience Required: 5+ years
Location: Singapore
Contract Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension (subject to project needs)
Work Arrangement: On-site role (Work From Office)
About the Role:
This is a technical leadership position dedicated to overseeing, securing, and automating all employee devices and virtual work environments, with a primary focus on tools such as MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).
Key Responsibilities
- Device and Workspace Configuration (Hardware & Virtual)
- Design, implement, and manage physical devices (Windows PCs, laptops, iPads, thin clients) and virtual desktops (e.g., VMware Horizon).
- Ensure seamless access for employees to work remotely, whether via physical desktops or cloud-based solutions.
- OS Deployment and Updates (Focus on MECM)
- Manage operating system upgrades (such as Windows 10 to Windows 11) across large-scale deployments.
- Utilize management tools like MECM, Intune, and Altiris to automate updates, configurations, and software distribution.
- Cloud Migration and System Upgrades
- Lead enterprise projects including migrating data and applications from on-premise servers to cloud platforms or upgrading legacy systems without impacting business operations.
- Automation and Scripting
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks such as onboarding new staff devices or deploying bulk software updates, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual errors.
- Security and System Performance
- Maintain device security through encryption, endpoint protection, and compliance enforcement.
- Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure a smooth user experience for all employees.
- Leadership, Troubleshooting, and Training
- Serve as the technical expert in resolving complex IT issues, identifying root causes, and implementing permanent solutions.
- Create documentation, lead IT projects, and mentor junior team members to foster skill development.
Essential Skills and Tools
- Primary Tool: MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)
- Secondary Tools: Microsoft Intune, Altiris, VMware Horizon
- Core Competencies: Operating system deployment, cloud migration, automation and scripting, device security, troubleshooting
