Roles And Responsibilities

Leads the evaluation and advancement of mechanical and fluid control systems by planning and executing research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.

Ensures successful integration of mechanical design elements with electrical components and consumable parts. Supports troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to mechanical aspects of the design and collaborates with other design contributors on interface issues.

Contributes to the development and documentation of mechanical systems architectures.

Able to design plastic components with expertise in the manufacturing of plastic components.

Able to effectively transition products to manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.

Enhances mechanical designs to be optimized for production, reliability, regulatory compliance, and cost.

Performs in-depth mechanical engineering analysis, including FEA/CFD, and related calculations.

Responsible for integrating deliverables from subsystem design teams and external partners.

Resolves competing constraints across interrelated functions (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) to enable delivery of the product to market.

Defines protocols and conducts the required testing to validate the safety and effectiveness of the design(s).

Qualifications

A graduate or a post graduate in Mechanical or related engineering and 5 10 years related experience. Prior experience in Renal device/Medical domain is a plus.

Key Skills

A demonstrated track record in plastic component design and development, preferably for medical devices or other highly regulated product domains such as aircraft/automotive/defense industries.

A proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to deliver results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverables.
