Data Security Admin

Overview
The Data Security Administrator plays a crucial role in managing enterprise hardware asset operations by addressing inquiries and ServiceNow requests, investigating asset data discrepancies, and ensuring precise and comprehensive records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This position entails collaboration with asset owners, support teams, and IT partners to rectify data inconsistencies, validate ownership, and uphold standardized Hardware Asset Management (HAM) practices. This role is well-suited for an individual possessing basic IT knowledge, robust analytical abilities, and a desire to enhance their expertise in HAM, ServiceNow, and CMDB operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve inquiries, incidents, and service requests related to HAM.
• Investigate and address asset data discrepancies and incomplete or incorrect records.
• Collaborate with asset owners and support teams to amend asset information.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and lifecycle integrity of asset data.
• Assist in identifying ownership for newly discovered assets and URLs.
• Conduct regular reviews of data quality.
• Adhere to established HAM processes and governance standards.
• Document findings, actions taken, and process information.
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed.
• Support testing, reporting, and initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date team procedures and knowledge documentation.
• Engage with global and cross-functional IT teams.

• Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and support workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to documented procedures and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Capability to work collaboratively with both business and technical teams.
• Desire to learn about HAM, ServiceNow, and CMDB processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

• Background in IT support, asset management, or IT operations.
• Knowledge of HAM or IT Asset Management methodologies.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT service management platforms.
• Understanding of CMDB principles.
• Experience in reviewing or reconciling data within Excel.
• Comprehension of hardware asset lifecycle processes.
• Exposure to process documentation or system testing activities.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.
