Role Overview

The Data Centre Operations & ICC Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, availability, and compliance of services within the Data Centre (DC) and Integrated Command Centre (ICC). This position involves supporting 24/7 monitoring, coordinating facilities, managing vendors, preparing for audits, and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across various Data Centre sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations for DC and ICC to guarantee high service availability and continuity.
• Monitor alerts from the ICC and escalate issues to the relevant resolver teams promptly.
• Ensure the operational readiness of monitoring platforms (BMC / TrueSight, ICC tools, JMS backend).
• Coordinate with vendors for operations delivery, including parts delivery, replacements, and validations.
• Oversee activities related to DC facilities, including inspections, reporting, power checks, cabling, and monthly testing in collaboration with Chargemen.
• Ensure DC uptime and compliance with contractual SLAs, verified through monthly ARC reports.
• Manage JMS reporting and ensure timely submission of operational and financial reports to the Finance team, confirming details with PBB, Postpaid, eBay, and MBB teams.
• Maintain accuracy in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), updating it for server decommissioning and validation through approved trackers.
• Facilitate server decommissioning by confirming non-usage with customers and system owners before execution.
• Keep updated DC layouts for all Data Centres and submit them for SLA and governance approval.
• Support operational and audit requirements, preparing reports for customers and stakeholders as needed.
• Manage DC/ICC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conduct regular site inspections, and ensure operational discipline.
• Supervise DC and ICC personnel, provide backup support, and train new team members on monitoring and operational procedures.
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth understanding of Data Centre operations and ICC monitoring environments.
• Practical experience with enterprise monitoring tools (BMC / TrueSight, ICC platforms, JMS).
• Exceptional coordination skills across vendors, facilities teams, and technology sectors.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on documentation and audit compliance.
• Capability to operate effectively in SLA-driven, high-availability settings.
  
  

Experience & Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, ICC, or Infrastructure Operations roles.
• Preferred experience in large enterprise or telecom Data Centre environments.
• Familiarity with SLA management, CMDB, audits, and facilities coordination.
