Corporate Trainee - System Support

Overview

The selected candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Provide first and second level system support for various trade finance-related operating systems, including but not limited to Dispatching, Sharepoint, Codoka, DMS, Trade AI, and PHX.
• Serve as a liaison between product management and various trade finance operating systems within the head office.
• Evaluate and enhance existing standard operating procedures related to system functionalities.
• Oversee and conduct system testing for various trade finance operating systems, focusing on enhancements and new releases.
• Ensure that testing outcomes for various trade finance operating systems align with the established test strategy and plan.
• Drive improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence among team members.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with relevant personnel in processing teams and counterparts within the Commerzbank group to ensure effective and timely communication regarding issues, needs, and inquiries.
• Adhere to bank requirements concerning Compliance, AML, KYC, and reputational risk as a fundamental aspect of daily operations (first level check).
• Guarantee that all key controls, daily functional checks, and end-of-day reconciliations are executed consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned tasks in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Monitor incoming Swift messages and email inquiries related to various trade finance operating systems.
• Address and resolve all mailbox inquiries, providing investigation details for escalation when necessary.
• Promptly escalate issues to the next level of support or relevant channels if they cannot be resolved within the team.
• Communicate clear and actionable solutions to system users while demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Disseminate and document each system update release to users and communicate relevant information to stakeholders.
• Comply with all testing deliverables, including test plans, test cases, and test results, while maintaining thorough tracking of testing data.
• Offer tailored training to system users by proactively preparing, updating, and delivering training on system enhancements to ensure users possess the necessary operational knowledge.
• Conduct an annual review of existing manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while tracking issues (particularly system downtimes) with root cause analysis, severity, and resolution times.

Educational Background:

University degree / diploma / tertiary education

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferably an Entry Level candidate specializing in Business, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• A minimum CGPA of 3.0 is required.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory.
• Essential Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite. Familiarity with trade finance products, system technical terminology, and SQL programming will be advantageous.
• NOTE: Successful applicants will be engaged on a 6-month contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn Bhd. Upon completion of the Corporate Trainee Program, permanent employment may be extended based on overall performance evaluation during the 6-month period.
