Category Manager / Buyer

Position Summary: This position is tasked with the creation and implementation of strategic business initiatives for designated product categories. The focus is on enhancing sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction through the selection of an optimal product mix, effective promotional tactics, strategic pricing, and strong supplier collaborations.

Main Duties:

• Achieve sales, profit, and revenue targets through effective category management planning
• Craft customer-oriented product selections and engaging promotional strategies
• Develop planograms and placement tactics to shape consumer purchasing behavior
• Establish competitive pricing structures and comprehensive private label initiatives
• Forge strong relationships with suppliers and OEMs to enhance terms, discounts, and performance metrics
• Oversee the entire product development process: from initial curation and design to logistics and quality assurance
• Ensure stock integrity and reduce shrinkage through effective inventory management practices
• Facilitate collaboration between regional business units and store teams

Education & Experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field
• Background in a customer-focused industry with strong skills in merchandising, marketing, and category management
• Demonstrated commercial insight, strategic thinking, and practical operational expertise
• Proven track record of collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
