Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst/Business Analyst to contribute to a corporate banking technology transformation initiative, with a focus on credit origination and financial analysis processes.

The role will support the deployment of an AI-enabled, off-the-shelf SaaS solution that connects with existing credit origination systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to help ensure seamless system integration, effective document processing, and streamlined credit approval workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, pinpoint process gaps, and define functional requirements for system rollout and ongoing enhancement.
• Review current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for workflow optimisation, automation, and increased operational effectiveness.
• Develop, verify, and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, use cases, and other related documentation.
• Assist with the implementation of an AI-enabled SaaS solution and its integration with existing credit origination platforms, including API connectivity, messaging, document flows, and associated supporting workflows.
• Partner with developers, solution architects, and other technical teams to ensure the implemented solutions meet business requirements.
• Coordinate and manage functional elements of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and related validation activities, including defect analysis and resolution tracking.
• Perform initial investigations into system issues using available API specifications, application logs, and database information, engaging with technical teams as needed.
• Run workshops, requirement discussions, and stakeholder reviews to confirm proposed solutions and secure approvals.
• Support project planning, risk assessment, change management, and post-implementation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in System Analysis, Business Analysis, or a similar functional IT role.
• Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred, particularly in corporate lending, credit origination, credit approval, or related domains.
• Alternatively, candidates with relevant experience in financial statements, financial analysis, or financial reporting will also be considered.
• Strong experience in gathering, analysing, documenting, and translating business requirements into clear functional specifications.
• Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing BRDs, FSDs, process flows, use cases, and supporting project documentation.
• Experience coordinating UAT/SIT activities from a functional perspective, including requirements validation and defect follow-up.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.

Technical Skills and Additional Advantages

• Familiarity with APIs, system integration, application logs, databases, and SQL.
• Basic exposure to Unix/Linux environments, job schedulers, database access tools, and online or batch processing.
• Experience with project management and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
• Exposure to SaaS implementation, AI-enabled business applications, or financial technology transformation projects would be an advantage.
