Business Development & Market Expansion Manager (Automation)

We are seeking a strategic and well-connected Business Development & Market Expansion Manager to support the Company’s growth by expanding into new local and overseas markets.

Reporting closely with senior management, you will uncover market opportunities, design market entry strategies, and establish partnerships that generate sustainable business value. This role suits a candidate who enjoys conducting market research, building strong relationships, and converting insights into practical commercial opportunities.

What you'll do

• Support the Company’s long-term expansion strategy across priority markets.
• Collaborate with senior management on technology licensing, joint ventures, and other collaboration opportunities.
• Source and assess new markets, products, services, and distribution channels.
• Create market-entry plans and enhance the Company’s competitive positioning.
• Analyse customer research, market trends, and industry developments.
• Build and maintain relationships with business consultants, government agencies, industry associations, and academic institutions.
• Represent the Company at conferences, seminars, and industry events.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, briefings, and information sessions to develop new and existing relationships.

What we're looking for

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' business development experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Knowledge of automation technology is an advantage, but not essential.
