Business Analyst (Business Transformation)

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, analytical Business Analyst to connect business requirements, operational workflows, and digital transformation initiatives.

In addition to traditional requirements gathering, this position will partner with business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, uncover opportunities for improvement, and re-envision how services can be delivered more effectively.

The successful candidate should be confident working through uncertainty, constructively challenging established ways of doing things, and converting business challenges into practical, user-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Discovery: Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, operational issues, and core user needs—moving beyond surface-level requirements to identify root causes.
• Business Process Transformation: Review existing workflows to find inefficiencies and opportunities to improve through simplification, standardization, automation, or more fundamental process redesign.
• Product & Solution Thinking: Convert business needs into well-defined problem statements, user journeys, functional requirements, and user stories, while also identifying opportunities for reuse and integration.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Lead workshops and discussions with business users, operational teams, and technology stakeholders to test assumptions, agree on priorities, and enable meaningful change.
• Change & Implementation Support: Assist with solution validation, user acceptance testing, change impact assessments, and enable adoption of redesigned processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously propose enhancements based on user feedback, operational insights, and emerging technologies, ensuring solutions achieve measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience in business analysis, business process improvement, digital transformation, product management, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business problems and recommend practical improvements.
• Ability to facilitate stakeholder conversations, challenge existing assumptions, and support decisions in a constructive manner.
• Experience in process mapping, requirements elicitation, user journey analysis, and converting business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Comfortable collaborating across business and technology teams, with an understanding of Agile delivery practices.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and able to operate effectively in ambiguous or changing environments.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in public-sector transformation, social services, or complex service delivery environments.
• Exposure to service design, design thinking, business process re-engineering, or product discovery.
• Ability to align day-to-day operational requirements with longer-term transformation goals.
• Strong curiosity, empathy for end users, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Technology-agnostic role: Experience with specific platforms or enterprise applications is not mandatory. We value strong business judgement, transformation capabilities, and the ability to identify the right solutions over proficiency in any technology.
