Overview of the Role

The Business Analyst will serve as a crucial link between business and technology teams, facilitating requirement gathering, metadata governance, platform setup, testing, and user engagement for successful product deployment.

Primary Duties

• Collect, analyze, and oversee business and functional requirements.
• Establish metadata models, business glossaries, and governance methodologies.
• Craft and document governance workflows, controls, and stewardship practices.
• Develop and manage user stories, backlog entries, and release specifications.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and verify platform features, configurations, and customizations.
• Create training resources and facilitate user adoption initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Stewards, Architects, and Engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in Business Analysis within Data, Analytics, Data Governance/Management, or Enterprise Data Platform projects.
• Deep understanding of metadata management, data governance, and data cataloging principles.
• Proven experience in Agile methodologies, requirements management, and engaging stakeholders.
• Familiarity with platforms such as OpenMetadata, Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or equivalent is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
