Job Title – Business Analyst
Location: Singapore
Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
Position Overview:
The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in connecting business requirements with technological solutions. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of business operations, exceptional analytical capabilities, and effective communication skills to liaise with both business and technical teams. The main objective is to ensure that solutions align with business goals and are optimized for maximum efficiency.
Primary Duties:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Deliverable: Comprehensive Business Requirements Document (BRD)
- Facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops to accurately capture and document business needs.
- Conduct an in-depth analysis of existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
2. Solution Design:
- Deliverable: Product Playbook, Runbook, and Product Onboarding Documentation
- Convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications for execution.
- Design and document thorough solutions, including process flows, data models, and integration methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure the feasibility and sustainability of proposed solutions.
3. Implementation Support:
- Deliverable: User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan and Test Cases
- Actively participate in testing phases, including UAT, to guarantee compliance with requirements and system robustness.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor usage and performance metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to discover opportunities for ongoing platform enhancement.
- Stay updated on new features and developments, assessing their potential implications and relevance to the organization.
- Propose and execute improvements to boost platform efficiency and effectiveness.
In this capacity, the Business Analyst will lead digital transformation initiatives within the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combination of business insight, technical knowledge, and a collaborative approach, facilitating the seamless integration of strategic business objectives.
Qualifications:
· A degree in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field is required.
· Must be a citizen of Singapore.
· Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid MINDEF Security Directive (MSD) CAT 1 security clearance.
· Must meet at least one of the following conditions:
o Have a minimum of two (2) years experience in system analysis and design along with Java training or certification.
o Have at least one (1) year of experience in system analysis and design related to MINDEF / SAF Java EE projects.
· Previous experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
