Business Analyst – IT / Government Projects

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to enhance our BAU operations, IT initiatives, system upgrades, and application delivery within a governmental/public-sector framework. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily BAU operations, ensuring the availability, performance, reliability, and continuity of services.
• Serve as the primary liaison for business users regarding incidents, service requests, system challenges, and enhancements.
• Prioritize and manage incidents, service requests, and change requests in accordance with SLAs and service delivery expectations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and facilitate issue resolution in collaboration with IT teams, vendors, and relevant governmental technology stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze business requirements while supporting system enhancements, testing, releases, and deployment coordination.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and compliance, while adhering to relevant data protection regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and propose enhancements to systems and processes.
• Oversee vendor management and coordinate service delivery within an SLA-driven environment.
• Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and project records.
• Assist with data quality assessments, reporting, and analytics to support operational and policy-making decisions.
• Effectively manage stakeholders across both business and technology teams.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a track record of collaborating with developers, UX teams, and business users to produce responsive and maintainable web applications.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar requirements/project management tools.
• Knowledge of governmental/enterprise technology platforms and tools is advantageous.

Mandatory Experience

• Experience working within a government agency/public-sector environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage IT projects, either as a Project Manager or by combining roles as a Business Analyst / Project Manager.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven experience in BAU, SLA, vendor, incident, and change management environments.
