Backup Engineer
Job Description
Possess extensive experience with CDM solutions within an enterprise setting.
Demonstrate knowledge and practical expertise with Cohesity, which is highly regarded.
Have familiarity with cloud backup platforms such as Azure, AWS, and AvePoint.
Bring experience with various backup technologies including Veritas NetBackup, Networker, Avamar, and Veeam (preferred).
Exhibit strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, along with database administration (Oracle, SAP Hana, MS SQL, etc.) to support client-side backups, as well as a foundational knowledge of SAN protocols like FC/ISCSI.
Capable of automating administrative tasks through scripting (Python/Ansible) or other programming languages (preferred).
Possess experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for backup deployment processes.
Have experience in Power BI Dashboard Administration and Reporting.
Experience in Power BI Coding and API Integration is an added advantage.
Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
Experience working within an Agile delivery model is a plus.
