Assistant Manager, Finance (Accounts Payable, Public Sector)

The Opportunity

Adecco is collaborating with the public sector to find an Assistant Manager, Finance to lead and enhance the Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions. This role focuses on ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, validating expense claims, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and applicable financial regulations.

The Talent

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Workday and data analytics tools is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented, independent, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.

Job Description

• Examine and process vendor invoices and employee expense claims, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing responsibilities, including accruals, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit schedules.
• Lead fixed assets and operating lease accounting, including asset capitalisation, disposal, and periodic verification.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure complete, correct financial documentation.
• Look for opportunities to enhance finance operations through automation and system improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and operational issues.
