Arrangement & Piping Engineer

Job Overview:

• This position is designed to assist with projects in Plant Engineering, specifically concentrating on 3D aspects.
• Involvement in power plant design, mechanical arrangements, and piping design across both 3D and 2D formats.
• Manage arrangement and piping engineering efforts from initial concepts through detailed design and provide site support.
• Oversee the arrangement deliverables for projects, collaborating with clients, internal stakeholders, and partners.
• Ensure the delivery of 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, specifications, and other related documentation.

Main Duties:

• Conduct overall site layout planning, including underground networks and mechanical network designs.
• Perform 3D design for power plants and arrange all necessary equipment.
• Create 3D models using AVEVA E3D and PDMS.
• Execute clash detection checks in coordination with civil engineers and structural steel designers.
• Define various arrangement concepts, addressing lifting access and walkway layout plans.
• Design large prefabricated transportable plant modules, including basic steel design, piping layout, equipment positioning, material take-offs, and instructions for manufacturing, assembly, transport, and site erection.
• Generate arrangement drawings incorporating civil inputs based on 3D models through AVEVA DRAW and AutoCAD.
• Route water, air, gas, and steam piping from conceptual stages to basic and detailed engineering.
• Develop detailed designs for pipes, valves, and pipe supports.
• Define piping welds and develop spooling concepts.
• Create isometric and support drawings along with other necessary deliverables.
• Mark up hydrotests and pressure tests.
• Provide technical clarifications regarding isometric drawings.
• Conduct pipe stress calculations and prepare reports (preferred).
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of specifications for piping, valves, fittings, supports, hangers, insulation, hydrotest procedures, pressure test markups, P&IDs for pressure testing, heat tracing, gaskets, and various inline components.
• Handle itemized piping, including concrete or rubber-lined piping for CCW and piping prefabrication.

Technical Qualifications:

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Experience
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in the power and energy industrial application sector.
• Familiarity with customer specifications and international standards.
• Experience in site customer support is a plus.
