Application Engineer (Photonics)

We are seeking a skilled High-Speed Digital & Optical Solutions Engineer to provide exceptional support to clients in the fields of AI data centers, semiconductor technology, optical networking, and high-speed interconnect solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert in high-speed digital communication, optical technologies, and signal integrity.
• Assist clients with validation and testing solutions for high-speed technologies including 400G/800G/1.6T, SerDes, PCIe, Ethernet, InfiniBand, Silicon Photonics, and CXL.
• Conduct and provide guidance on jitter analysis, eye diagram measurement, bit error rate (BER) testing, signal integrity assessments, and compliance evaluations.
• Support customer evaluations, proof of concepts (POCs), technical demonstrations, and initiatives leading to design wins.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and R&D to address customer needs and stay informed about market developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in applications engineering, validation, testing, or solution development.
• In-depth understanding of PAM4, NRZ, SerDes, signal integrity, jitter, and BER.
• Proficient in using oscilloscopes, DCA, BERT, VNA, and optical testing instruments.
• Experience with optical transceivers including QSFP-DD and OSFP.
• Excellent customer engagement and technical consulting abilities.
• Familiarity with standards set by IEEE, OIF, PCI-SIG, JEDEC, Ethernet, or CXL is preferred.
