Are you a Test Engineering Assistant seeking to advance your career? Emerson offers a compelling opportunity for you. In this position, you will assist in setting up and executing tests, analyzing data, troubleshooting equipment and product challenges, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, equipment reliability, and operational excellence while contributing to a dynamic and innovative manufacturing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and address production red lights, performing failure analysis and troubleshooting for all test-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve tester-related challenges, including troubleshooting at the circuit board component level, to ensure prompt equipment resolution.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis to address tester-related issues, ensuring timely equipment fixes.
- Assist in test data collection, analysis, and yield enhancement.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment and test stations.
- Support test-related enhancements and the establishment of new test stations.
- Create, maintain, and revise manufacturing procedures and associated documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Lockout/Tagout procedures (LOTO), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Equipment Safety Requirements (ESR) for testing processes.
- Collaborate with engineers to address non-conforming electrical components and assemblies.
- Coordinate and conduct in-house calibration activities, liaise with external calibration providers, and maintain calibration records for test equipment.
- Assist in implementing GMS requirements and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience operating common lab test equipment, such as multi-meters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.
- Understanding of subassembly and circuit board functional testing procedures.
- Capability to troubleshoot equipment failures down to the circuit board component level.
- Strong teamwork, communication (both written and verbal), presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with PLC, automation skills, Power BI, or programming skills is a plus.
- Soldering skills are beneficial.
- A diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
