Application Developer (.NET) - Banking Sector

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct research, design, and develop software for computers and networks, including specialized utility programs.
• Assess user requirements and create effective software solutions, utilizing principles and techniques from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Maintain and enhance existing software by updating features, and oversee software testing and validation processes.
• Create high-quality, reusable, and deployable code in accordance with established design and coding standards.
• Develop clear, efficient, and purpose-driven code that complies with GMI project guidelines and quality benchmarks.
• Participate in peer code reviews as needed to uphold code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Apply Configuration Management techniques to each work item for effective version control and traceability.
• Perform unit testing to verify software functionality.
• Automate testing procedures aligned with the test strategy, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and compliance with software factory standards.
• Execute and oversee technical testing as outlined in the test strategy to confirm the software fulfills all specified requirements.
• Identify and propose non-functional requirements during sprints to ensure software performance, security, and other non-functional needs are met.
• Estimate, decompose, and update User Stories and Tasks to facilitate accurate project planning and monitoring.
• Maintain and update the Sprint Backlog to reflect progress and any scope modifications.

Qualifications and Profile

Technical Skills

• Proficient with .NET technologies, adhering to best practices, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced C# features such as async/await, dependency injection, and more.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, with solid fundamentals in complexity analysis.
• Ability to analyze code effectively—understanding execution flow and debugging independently of debugging tools.
• Experience with the .NET CLI, GIT version control, and developing and maintaining both integration and unit tests.
• Knowledge of frontend web technologies (HTML5, CSS) and popular JavaScript frameworks like Angular is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of database management systems including SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and MySQL.
• Experience using ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework Core (EF Core) for data access.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Exposure to tools and technologies including Elastic Search, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Control-M, KAFKA, Confluence, Jira, GitLab, MQ Series, SonarQube is valuable.
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS for data integration, ETL processes, and reporting.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms and services like Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Experience with DevOps tools including GIT, NuGet/Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in developing and deploying AI-driven automation solutions, including AI agents and workflows for automated code development, quality assurance, vulnerability detection, and remediation.

Experience & Education Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Possession of a master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, programming, systems analysis, or related computer studies fields.
