Minimum of 5 years of experience in Android mobile software engineering within a comparable senior position

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)

• Proficient in Kotlin and Android Studio; Java knowledge is also mandatory

• Demonstrated success in delivering published Android applications (at least one app listed on Google Play)

• Experience working within a Scrum team utilizing Agile and lean methodologies

• In-depth understanding of native Android frameworks, mobile architecture patterns, and the Android SDK

• Skilled in unit testing, TDD, continuous integration (GitHub Enterprise or Jenkins), and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong comprehension of mobile security standards and secure coding practices specific to Android

• Ability to quickly read and analyze code to identify and troubleshoot issues

• Proficient in written and spoken English

Preferred / Advantageous

• Experience in developing mobile banking applications within a licensed financial institution setting

• Knowledge of BNM RMIT November 2025 mobile security requirements (including device binding, kill switch, and cooling-off period)

• Previous experience in delivering solutions within a regulated banking or fintech environment in Malaysia or Southeast Asia
